Want To Buy Smith & Wesson 3rd gen auto (beater/shooter)...

Just like the title says. Looking for a beater/shooter S&W 3rd gen auto, such as a 5906, 5904, 915, etc. Preferably a double stack model, but I'd take something in the single stack 39 series if the price is right.

Not wanting to spend more than $350-$400, so safe queens need not apply.

Yeah, they are probably the best kept secret in pistols. They were kinda doomed from the start. First of all, they weigh a ton. Second, they came out about the same time the Glock did.

I never owned a 5906, but I did own a 4006 and 2 or 3 different 4046 pistols at various times.

I have a 4506 that I got a few months ago and haven't got to shoot it yet, like the way it feels though. It's a big gun but it has a nice balance, plus it just looks cool
