Smith & Wesson model 15-3 sights

I recently acquired a vintage Smith & Wesson model 15-3 K-38 Combat Masterpiece .38 Special revolver made in 1969. Pretty decent shape except the rear sight blade is bent on the left side. I'd like to replace the rear sight assembly with a new or used one. So far the problem has been that I can't find the correct one. I ordered one from Midway but it wouldn't fit. The front screw hole on the sight would not line up with the screw hole in the top strap. It was for a much newer gun. Close but no cigar. I also tried Numrich and eBay. So many variations for different barrel lengths and different generations of the model. I know the sight blade height is .106. other than that I'm kind of at a loss. Anyone know where I could get one? Also I know I could replace just the blade and for a lot less but I'm not sure I'm skilled enough to do that. Any help or sources would be appreciated.

Dont bother changing the whole sight assembly, just change the blade!

You can go black or the white outline as pictured!

I have a few I need to do also

I'd be willing to bet that numrich, or Midwest gun works had what you need.

Hey that white outline would be great. The original in it now is solid black. Does this require any special tools?

This is the chart that someone gave me. According to it my sight blade should be a .106.

A special tool ("pickle fork") is required which is available from places like Brownells, along with a gallon size plastic bag. CAREFULLY read and understand instructions before you start work. Do NOT omit the bag part.

The pickle fork is a screwdriver with the center removed!
Think you'll need a center punch to stake the new screw to the nut also
