Most of the times it was because the school bus couldn't come and get us out on the farm. Hell, we had on severe storm where we didn't go to school for a week. Thank goodness for propane, Franklin stove/fireplace and my dad was an early adopter of having a generator. All we did for that week was take care of the cattle and play penny ante poker. I think now days it is all about lawsuits if the kids get hurt. I can't blame them really, I see how people drive on snow and ice. If I had a kid I wouldn't want them  on a school bus on the same road as some of these idiots.</p></blockquote><p></p>
