I don't think it was ever illegal under state law (unless you wanted to make the argument that it was a "dirk knife," which was removed from the statutes), and the Legislature passed state non-preemption on knives a few years ago, which essentially nullified all city ordinances on the subject.</p></blockquote><p></p>
