<blockquote data-quote="aarondhgraham" data-source="post: 4360966" data-attributes="member: 13337"><p>Even though it was chilly and somewhat windy yesterday,,,</p><p>I did do my annual "Take a lot of guns and make some noise" range trip.</p><p></p><p>I shot eleven of my rimfire pistols/revolvers,,,</p><p>And nine centerfire pistols/revolvers,,,</p><p>Ranging from .25 ACP to .44 Mag.</p><p></p><p>I have a new favorite this year,,,</p><p>My Beretta Model 81 Cheetah in .32 ACP.</p><p></p><p>[ATTACH=full]527492[/ATTACH]</p><p></p><p>[ATTACH=full]527493[/ATTACH]</p><p></p><p>A few years back Classic Firearms offered a bunch of these pistols,,,</p><p>For the ridiculously low price of $199.99 each,,,</p><p>With extra mags at $34.99 each.</p><p></p><p>I bought one pistol and 4 extra mags,,,</p><p>I should have ordered 4-5 of the dang pistols.</p><p></p><p>The reason I didn't was because I already owned a Model 87 and Model 84,,,</p><p>So the Model 81 was really just an impulse buy due to the low price.</p><p></p><p>I could have turned them around very quickly,,,</p><p>Made some people happy and recovered the cost of the one I kept for myself.</p><p></p><p>They would have also made awesome gifts for a few select friends.</p><p></p><p>Two weeks after I received mine I did try and order a few more,,,</p><p>But by that time people had already bought their entire stock of those beauties.</p><p></p><p>I shoot the 87 quite a bit,,,</p><p>The 85 not so much as .380 ACP is pricey,,,</p><p>I would shoot 5 mags of .22 and one mag of .380.</p><p></p><p>When I first received the 81 I bought a box of 50 rounds,,,</p><p>And shot it all up in one quick range trip,,,</p><p>Just to ensure it would function.</p><p></p><p>A while back I stumbled upon a forum post (a different forum),,,</p><p>Where a gentleman was selling his stock of .32 ACP,,,</p><p>I bought 1,000 rounds of FMJ for 15-cents a round.</p><p></p><p>Anyways, since then I've shot about half of the ammo,,,</p><p>And every time I shoot the gun I am more happy than the last time.</p><p></p><p>The 81 is a solid pistol so the recoil is almost nonexistent,,,</p><p>It holds 12+1 rounds so there is plenty of "firepower",,,</p><p>And like all of the "Cheetah" pistols,,,</p><p>It fits my hand perfectly.</p><p></p><p>I have decided that the Model 81 is now my Go-To pistol for EDC,,,</p><p>I came home, cleaned it up, and placed it in my leather briefcase holster.</p><p></p><p>It replaced my Ruger ec9s as my carry gun,,,</p><p>My older hands appreciate the much lighter recoil,,,</p><p>And my brain likes the 13 total round capacity of the Beretta.</p><p></p><p>Nothing earth-shaking in this post,,,</p><p>Just something I did for fun.</p><p></p><p>Aarond</p><p></p><p>.</p></blockquote><p></p>
