The tires looked like they were in good condition and just ruined... But if you had some old rims and needed a wood stove I can bet something like this will throw a ton of heat with the convection tubes on it. To me it was a lot more work than it needed to be by cutting through the holes to make that a door and keeping the other end as is for the back and filling it in. The glass front would have been cool but I would rather use a solid piece than to be putting a couple hundred little welds here and there.
