I'll start with one example: 1. S&W doesn't seem to want parts lists or schematics published for their M&P pistols, in particular. It appears they want you to send the gun back to them for maintenance and repairs. For example, I wanted to replace the front sight on my M&P .22 Compact; I sent S&W customer service an email asking for the part and got a reply back a couple of days later that said that was a factory job and to send the gun in. (Yeah, right). I then called them TWICE about it and finally got a guy who said he would "try to send me the part". Well, it did arrive about a week later and I put it in. What's up with that?
