Message: <blockquote data-quote="oklaccer" data-source="post: 2038719" data-attributes="member: 6156"><p>I had an argument like this with my in-laws.  When I pressed the issue of defining an "assault weapon" the argument slowly died.  Every thing they tried to use, I was able to show was cosmetic or had no bearing on the functioning.  Didn't let them get anywhere until we had defined terms.  AR is not assault rifle, it is Armalite, the company that makes them.  Gun show loophole is non existent.  Nothing legal at a gun show that is not legal anywhere else, any day of the week, in any other location.  On and on we went.  Several asked where I got my information and why did I know these things.  Was able to chastise them by asking, Why do you not know the specifics of what you are talking about?  At least it ended well.  They are still talking to me, just not about gun control.</p></blockquote><p></p>
