I don't think it's that easy. In the first place, you'd have to have the mail. This person doesn't. It's all been given back to the PO or destroyed. I've also double checked with the PO that our names are the only names to receive mail here. They are. We shouldn't get any more mail. Even then, it may help to establish proof of residency if you're trying to get certain types of accounts set up...but it in no way proves you live there in terms of real evidence to a court. When I was a cop if someone came to me saying they got kicked out of "their house" by the legitimate residents, I'm thinking it would be pretty easy to prove they were full of s**t. And it would be a civil matter anyway...not criminal. I'm as cautious as the next guy about protecting what's mine. I honestly don't think there's anything nefarious going on here. Just weird. We haven't had any more deliveries so I'm thinking this has run it's course. I mostly just found it odd that Walmart wasn't interested in getting the product back. That just means they'll take a loss on it when the person who ordered it doesn't get it and gets a refund or a replacement. It's part of why prices are as high as they are. They just flat-out refused to take the items back. Amazing.
