We just bought a pair, the Speed QueenTC5 washer and dryer. The wife was carrying a bucket of water from the kitchen sink to the 1 year old 'whirlpool washer to fill with enough water to wash clothes due to the eco changes the gov't mandated and the Whirlpool never would wash clothes clean. Now this Speed Queen set we bought has a fill option that fills the tub just like the old days and the clothes come out cleaner and fresher! We bought when they offered a $300 rebate in the form of a debit Mastercard. The only problem is the washer makes a lot of noise-like a nut or several marbles rolling around in the drum when washing. We've had the repairman come out three times and at first he thought it was the water pump and now he's going to replace the transmission which is on order. It washes fine but the wife doesn't like the "extra noise."
