Things to do: Ride the ferry to Bolivar and back. When you park your car...wakl to the back of the boat or the back sides of the boat. Usually you'll see lots of dolhpin and jelly fish. Go to pelican island and see the WWII Sea Wolf submarine. Go down to the Strand...old part/Bayside of Galveston. If it wasn't for the 1900 hurricane...the Strand looks like downtown New Orleans and would have been bigger....blown away. Go see the 1900 storm movie. Go see Moody gardens...the big pryamids on the West side of Galveston....Aquarium/I Max. Bishiops Palace. Where the Flagship hotel use to be...on a peir on the Gulf side of Galveston....there is a pleasure peir.....kinda like Frontier City. Eat at Landry's...but the one's I mentioned in first post are the BEST. Call Chester Moore. I use to listen to this guy on the radio....he is an AVID outdoorsman. http://www.klvi.com/pages/chestermoore.html Also....I can't remember when the flounder are running....ask at Smitty's. Use that bait...lot of guys use to flounder fish over by the Sea Wolf park but lots of rock and brush....lose bait and lures....but they did catch the heck out of flounder. Also...an airplane museum....can't remember...ask. ***I would not run around the East side of Broadway....down by the hospital...UTMB at night. That area is a little questionable and they might want your car "more" than you. Cohiba
