I had bought a sporterized 1941 K98 Mauser in 8mm and I'm looking to put a surplus stock on it (preferably a byf 41). Any body know where I can get one in the Tulsa area?

I will likely end up taking it to a gun show and looking around but thought someone here may know someone.

Is there anything I should look out for when buying a stock for it?

Thanks guys,

That may be a bit of a tall order but not impossible. So many stocks were cut while transforming the rifles into sporters that the originals are tough to come by. As far as locally, the only people I can think of is TK Supply and it would be luck of the draw.

Another option would be to post some ads on surplusrifle.com or gunboards.com

I have a laminate cupped buttplate for a bnz but some bozo notched it for a low scope handle. I have a patch for it just haven't had the time. I also have a reproduction stock that needs finished.
