The one and only time I went to the Red Dog was when I was just starting grad school. I’d never heard of it before, and the guys I went with didn’t say what it was - “oh, it’s a bar” is all they told me. I had never been to that kind of bar before.
Needless to say, I was dumbfounded when we walked in the door, and totally unprepared for such an experience. We got a pool table, and I realized I really needed to play well so I could keep my sensitive eyes on the table. I think those few rounds I played were the best of my life...
