Anyone a structural engineer or know a good one that would come and look at a residential structure and offer advise on whether a modification is feasable?
Got a 2 story house and there is a support beam for the 2nd floor running the length of the garage that is supported by 2 posts (and the front and rear walls probably). Those 2 posts basically make my 2 car garage into 2 - 1 car garages. I was hoping to be able to remove those 2 posts? There will need to be more beam added or something if that is possible - just not sure how feasable it is, cost wise.
