LOL - Helluva Source there ......

"Fleegler and researchers from Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health studied information from all 50 states between 2007 to 2010, analyzing all firearm-related deaths reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and data on firearm laws compiled by the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence."

They likely spent taxpayer $ to conduct this study too.

I say we turn the tables and beat them at their own game... let's apply for a grant to study gun violence and when our study comes out, they will be surprised that it actually contains all of the data necessary to prove just the opposite of this.

Timing, people. Timing.

Senate lawmakers today are beginning what appears to be their final push to pass gun control legislation in response to the deadly massacre at a Newtown, Conn., elementary school in December.

The Senate Judiciary Committee plans to markup - essentially, readying for debate - an assault weapons ban bill, which would also ban high-capacity ammunition magazines, as well as three other bills.

The assault weapons ban, however, is seen as having virtually no chance to get through Congress.

Got to get something to help sway the masses, and outside of setting up yet another mass shooting, they'll try and soften the lemmings up with faux science and statistics.

If you use the same theory use in this study and apply it to let say cars, making it tougher for someone to buy a car then that would mean less vehicles on the road and less death by the menas of an automobile. The lead researcher even admits "There is minimal reserch going on and very minimal funding for the research that is going on." Simply a case of creating a study under one's own guidelines to get the results they want to produce, in my opinion.
