I almost always go stainless or melonite, but I nearly always get a heavy barrel. I don't have any gov. profile barrels on any gun that I own, so this would be a first. But, if the weight savings is noticeable, especially after I put another 14 ounces on the end of the gun, perhaps I should rethink old habits and do something different.
