CAF is without a doubt the most clearly unconstitutional act being perpetrated against the largest number private citizens in this country today. It is the most egregious misuse of power and overreach of law enforcement and local prosecutor's offices currently, and anybody that can't see that is no libertarian. It is a ridiculous abuse of power, and if the seized assets can't be proved to be a result of the criminal activity, and pertinent to the commission of the crime it should be abolished from this country. Stealing money from private citizens that cannot be tied to a crime or seizing non-money assets that are clearly worth more than the maximum criminal penalty for committing that crime is absurd. I guess moving violations resulting in the seizure of your automobile because it was used in the commission of a crime will be the next big thing. Law enforcement overreaching, and violating the spirit in which that law was signed, for financial gain because they can is an issue, and it needs to be addressed by the highest court in the land. Hopefully they honor our constitution when they present their ruling.
