[QUOTE="Shadowrider, post: 3926739, member: 3099"] They've been forced to take almost all ZDDP out of engine oils because it degrades catalytic converters. There's still some in there but it's a tiny fraction of what they used to use. I run Amsoil Signature Series or XL Series depending on how many miles the vehicle will get driven in a year. I change oil once a year. Been doing this for years. If I couldn't get Amsoil I'd use Pennzoil Platinum Ultra since some of the testing I've seen was close to Amsoil. I've ran a car 68k miles in one year and changed the oil 4 times that year (technically 3.something times since the 4th change was at the 1 year point). It lasted another 175k after that point. In this pic the car has almost 200k miles. Notice how clean totally sludge free it is? That's Amsoil at 1 year oil change intervals. Probably around 15-20k a year at that point in time.
