In 2011 one of my team leaders was told to move his trailer away from his hooch because they were doing construction on the COP. He protested saying it would be out of his control but they insisted. Some other unit immediately stole it and he was hit with a statement of charges for like $3,000. Then they leave BILLIONS of dollars worth of equipment to our enemy and NO ONE is held accountable. Congress also decided to play brinksmanship with passing the budget while I was there and we were told despite literally being at war we wouldn't be paid until it was passed even if it took months....welfare recipients would still be paid in full and on time. We started taking up a collection for the junior guys living paycheck to paycheck with families back home. Congress patted themselves on the backs when they came to an agreement at 11:50PM on the last day but it was too late for the banks to pay us next day, so we got half a paycheck a few days latter and caught up two weeks after that. THIS IS HOW THE GOVERNMENT TREATS SOLDIERS and they wonder why they can't hit recruiting goals.
