While driving along US Hwy 271 toward Talimena State Park, visitors can see full displays of fall on the trees. Strong winds have knocked off some of the leaves, but visitors can still view a stunning, traditional mix of yellow, orange and red leaves from the Panorama Vista. At Lake Wister State Park, the trees are currently at their peak, displaying the full spectrum of colors, although leaves are rapidly falling off the trees. At Ouachita National Park, the leaf transition has surpassed its peak, although fog in the area has obscured the remaining yellows, oranges and reds. Leaves along the Talimena National Scenic Byway are predicted to fade to brown and drop after this weekend.</p></blockquote><p></p>
