It's not hard to imagine that at a gun race there will be a bunch of race guns .... By the same logic Savage can't make a decent rifle .... You get issued what you get issued. As far as competitors go - it's catch 22: they'll use whatever is the most supported and whatever gets used the most, gets most support. Point being, Glock-34 - great race gun, it is the most used race gun by FAR (and 17s converted to 34 and you got 50% covered), however - it has NO USE outside the competition circle. I have no feelings towards any* brand name - gun is a tool and it either works or it doesn't. * Remington is a sole exception - IMHO they haven't made a decent gun since 1945. I've had a dozen Taurus/Rossi firearms over the years and the only issue I've ever had was a timing problem with a used revolver that I was able to correct at home. Now, the accounts of guns failing at simple CHL test or a sub-1000-round class really worry me. With that said - I still own a few and if there are indeed problems with them - I want to know what the problems are now so I can correct it. P.S. PT92 is a standard issue for Brazilian Army - that's 250 thou units... P.P.S. Would I take new Taurus over used Glock - HELL NO! :angry3: Luckily I don't have to make a choice. Safety on a handgun pisses me off ....
