My buddy texted me last night showing me untold numbers that were in his manicured 4 acre lawn in a video.
The way to test for them is to fill a bucket with water and dish soap like Dawn making a soapy mixture.
Splash the bucket on the grass and look for the army worms to come up almost immediately.
They are nocturnal, only feeding at night.
I had a couple come up. Time to spray some permethrin or sniper brand spray. They can wipe out a yard, or in the worst case destroy a quarter section of wheat in less than a week.
