It set the president for the way a lot of military actions would be taken by this country. Frankly, I think that a lot of what we see going on today are echoes of those conflicts. It makes me wonder if Thomas Jefferson were alive today, how would he deal with the problems we've had overseas this last decade? A bit more aggressively maybe? I don't know.
