The Bite is On!

Went out this morning in the boat, and had a slow start, but finally picked up 7 nice crappie. (no pic yet)
Hunted some shrooms after noon, but didn't find any.
Buddy called, and we went up in the creeks to see if the sand bass were running.
Between the two of us, and his 5 yr old son, we landed well over a hundred. Almost every cast for three hours. What a day!
Didn't count the ones we kept to bring home, but I'm betting there is 30 or so in that pile. The little guy had a blast! He'll be spoiled for a long time after this trip. Probably going again tomorrow.

The little guy is intelligent as heck. He continously impresses me.
By the time we left the creek, and getting home, we had him convinced that he was cleaning the fish, and we would cook them when he was done.
He's watched us do it many times, and told us he was ready.
We let him off the hook.

It's just getting better!
We found a small shallow brush pile, and started getting crappie. I brought home 34, stringer weight 26.1 lbs.
My buddy and his 5yr old brought home 56. The little guy was having a ball .

I am really missing being on the water fishing. I have been wanting to go the last week and I have been at work till 5 or later. I am off Friday Saturday and Sunday!
