5.56. supposedly, MSAR has conversion kits in the works for 7.62x39, using the 7.62 AR mags, but havent heard much about it. For those who have a ton of AR mags, theres also a stock you can buy so you don't have to use the AUG mags.

Ive had a hard time trying to warm up to a bullpup design, just from looks though. Ive never shot one and would deffinatly like to do so before making any judgement or opinion about them though.

I definitely understand what you mean. I got to tinker with one at a gunshow and had wanted one eaver since. Its a lot more balanced than I thought it would be, and a lot easier to transition from, say, low and ready to the firing position than an AR or AK, at least for me.
