Yes, I know it's fiction, BUT ... it's historical fiction and fascinating ... As far as I can tell the instruments and techniques they use in the surgery theatre are accurately portrayed. You guys ought to take a look if you are not watching it already. Gives you a LOT of food for thought if SHTF comes our way and you don't have your doctor's office on speed dial any longer.
Listen closely to what the actors say about the training they got from the surgeon retained to help them make the medical aspect of the show accurate. The most chilling quote I heard was "It gives you a false sense of confidence."
