I actually had to come to the choice of last one standing. Due to medical issues. Liquidated some 40 plus rifles and handguns. Kept 1. S&W model 10-10.

I have been down to my last two more than once from having to sell the rest because of going through hard times.

Those two are the new Mossberg 20 gauge my dad bought me when I was 14 and the new Marlin Glenfield 30-30 I bought myself when I was 15.

Both of those are irreplaceable to me but if I had to choose just one, it would be the lever action 30-30.

Iv'e got a lot of sentimental value in a couple I'd hate to see go. I haven't shot either one in quite a few years but I still have the memories of the first squirrel I shot with a stevens crackshot 22 when I was knee high to a grasshopper and the first deer I shot with my Dad's browning BAR 30-06 passed down to me.

This question came from a conversation Saturday where a similar question was being asked, and later this question came to me and I have waffled all weekend on my answers.

Thank you all for also giving your reasoning. Good thoughts!

Geez. That’s a tough question when you have quite a few firearms that have been passed down to you. I don’t think I want to answer.

No way, need at least 3, pistol, 22 rifle, and a shotgun. Browning High Power, Ruger 1022 and Remington 1100.

On the other hand keeping a 45Colt pistol and Lever gun also 45Colt plus all my reloading stuff wouldn't be too bad.
