Message: <blockquote data-quote="skyydiver" data-source="post: 2023340" data-attributes="member: 68"><p>The above is true.  It seems she, on one hand, was following the righteous and hard path of trying to have him committed.  It also seems she cared enough for her family to "prep" (however you feel about that, I think most people who do it, do it from a perspective of love for their family).  She volunteered at the school as well.  On the other hand, as JB said, she left him with access to her guns, and she and the community paid dearly.  With a mentally ill "child", what would be a minor slip for most of us, can apparently have grave consequences.  Very hard for me to villify her for it, but also can understand the outrage at the mistake in this case.  Truly very sad.  I hate so much that this happened, politics aside.</p></blockquote><p></p>
