Marlin lever guns seem to make every bit of recoil felt by the shooter imo. Did quite a bit of reloading fro a friend and his .450 Marlin. I'd compare it to the Lott in a No. 1, only Marlin is tough on the lever hand as well.

There was no comparison between the two here IMO. We shot the Lott first, then his Guide Gun and it made the Guide Gun feel like a pea shooter. My middle finger is a bit tender from the No1, it was definitely moving. I guess thats why some people wear gloves when they shoot them?
