Always wanted to see Champlin's place, bet its awesome to see all that high end stuff up close. I look on there website about once or month or so. My .458 will probably be up sale here pretty soon, thought my friend wanted it but he backed out.

Marlin lever guns seem to make every bit of recoil felt by the shooter imo. Did quite a bit of reloading fro a friend and his .450 Marlin. I'd compare it to the Lott in a No. 1, only Marlin is tough on the lever hand as well.

I have a 450 Marlin and the first shot or 2 arent that bad but if you get up to around 5 it gets pretty brutal.

Its all expensive to shoot.

Brass is $1.25 a round for new stuff
Projectiles about the same for decent but not exotic stuff
Then your powder, about .35/round depending on your recipe.

By time you add tax/shipping you're over $3 a round for components to reload it.

Yes, but you should get several reloads out of that brass.
