It would seem that the European variety/species of socialist is a lot smarter than the American variety/species of socialist--or at least they are more of a capitalist. :rollingla:rollingla

The United Kingdom says “Yes!” to fracking
posted at 3:31 pm on December 16, 2012 by Erika Johnsen

"A lot of countries and interest groups have been resistant to allowing fracking, nervous about ostensible environmental concerns, but after extensive studies the world over have failed to present any robust evidence of the many supposed horrors that radical environmental groups claim fracking can produce, a growing number of states and foreign countries are opening themselves up to the revenue, jobs, and wealth creation that other areas are already seeing as a result of the shale gas boom."

It seems like everyone is wising (sp?) up but us. The whole "well the other socialist countries just didn't do it right" thing is getting really old and we have another 4 years of it in front of us. I just saw a poll that was about congress. It asked if an election were held today would you vote dim or repub? The dims had it by 10% for the 2nd straight week of this particular poll. Fricking amazing...

Many people still think that the Republicans are in control of both houses of congress. This is in large part because of media spin and the Libs whining that Republicans will not let them do anything.

Good points but the greenie weenies have taken some serious hits lately too, including the IPCC admitting that the sun has more to do with temp then they said before.

It doesn't matter what ANYONE says or how much factual data they have. The greenies are convinced that their science trumps anyone else's. They are the very worst of the libtards and the real agenda of those in DC is money. Take a look at Al Gore. He's pretty much shown the world what a buffoon he is, but the green movement is flourishing just fine without him.

Two items from President Dwight Eisenhower's Farewell address that are pertinent today:

1. Used by the left to bash American business/industry:
"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist."

2. Used by the left to promote their agenda of GW, CC, no fracking/frac'ing of oil/gas wells, etc (Same Ike Farewell address, just a little further down into the address):
"Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite."
