I have a RUGER SR1911 5" 45acp.
Have never had any problems.
HAVE FIRED HUNDREDS OF ROUNDS.
Feeds ball & HP with no problems.
No FTF/FTE.
Very Accurate.
I did install the Wilson Combat Full Length Flat Wire Recoil system in it, the flat wire recoil spring last a lot longer (10 times longer acording to Wilson).
And I use Wilson Combat 47D Magazines.
MADE IN MERICA.

I've got the Ruger LW Commander in 9mm and the E Series S&W Scandium frame round butt in .45 acp (saw both mentioned earlier). Both are fine guns, I carry the S&W most days, but that little Ruger has NEVER given me any trouble, with appx. 500 rounds downrange. It will digest reloads that have OAL issues that have choked some of my other pistols.

And as an added bonus, it's about half the price of the S&W. I picked mine up for just a shade over $700 new. If anything, it's been more reliable than the S&W, which lost its extractor plunger tube. That can't happen to the Ruger because the tube is cast with the frame.
