One thing that helps it continue is people buying from the places that buy up all off the shelf and resell at inflated prices. Blowing off 2,000 rounds of 22 ammo isn't a necessity for weekend fun. Given the current prices I can reload 38spl cheaper with my old stock of powder/primers and home made bullets so I don't buy much 22lr.</blockquote>
