His office is still open, he has every intention of going back there. And even as a Senator, he never bought a house in D.C. He never moved his family there. He practically lives like a monk while in D.C.</p><p></p><p>So after all that, I'm supposed to believe he wants to live in D.C? Why didn't he move there a long time ago? Why didn't he buy a house? Why did he go on practicing medicine? Why didn't he shut down his practice?</p><p></p><p>I agree that he is his own man and votes his personal conscience. Which is another problem with accusing him of "selling out." Selling out implies money or at least a promise of something in the future. He doesn't want anything from anybody. He wants to go back to being a doctor. We don't really have any leverage on him since he won't be running again but that's hardly "selling out."
