[QUOTE="Biggsly, post: 1359848, member: 11136"] Spending years in the oil field, I have stayed from a night to a month in a hotel. If they take care of me then I leave a tip. When the guys would have a few beers and leave the bottles in the room, I tip more. I have found that the hotels you stay in alot will really take care of you. The Holiday Inn at Midland Tx would give us a keep to the pool room so that we could go late at night if we wanted. We could leave our dirty clothes in the floor and when we come in at night, they were washed and folded on the bed. They never charged us. I stayed there about every other week, sometimes a week or two at a time. I am sure that makes a difference. It seems in most of the places I have stayed you get a little extra service when you tip. We stayed in Houston for about two weeks and I would leave a 5 or 10 under a beer bottle every morning. When I when to check out, the girls had left a Thank You note at the front desk for me.
