I am finally going to change out the tires on my Tundra. Looking for a good all around highway tire, with minimal off road needs.

I was leaning heavily towards the Michelin LTX MS/2, but recently saw good things regarding the Cooper Endeavor Plus. Anybody have experience with the Cooper on a full size truck?

I really like the Michelin LTX on my wife’s AWD Pilot, but the price is OUCH. The Coopers are at a much better price point.

Thanks in advance.

My ‘13 F-150 came from the factory wearing Michelins. I forget the model, but I think they were the LTX M/S (which has become the M/S2). It’s rare for me to go back with the same brand of tire when it’s time to change, but I liked the Michelins so much that they’re all I’ve put on my truck in nearly 230,000 miles. They’re quiet on the highway and they wear really well—despite the premature demise of some thanks to the efforts of the nail and screw fairies sprinkling tire flatteners along Oklahoma’s highways and byways, I think their 65,000 mile tread wear estimate is pretty spot-on.

I can’t tell you much about the Coopers, as the closest I’ve had were Avon Tyres (which is owned by Cooper). That was about 20 years ago, but their performance was pretty good throughout their life, but they got progressively noisier as they got more miles on them. That was also on a more performance-oriented vehicle, though, so it’s not an apples-to-apples comparison.

I will recommend checking out the reviews of any tires you’re considering at the Tire Rack. Their reviews have pretty much mirrored my experiences.
