That is the question!!! Ok, so I will be putting a threaded barrel on my P226 Legion SAO for use of threaded devices. To accommodate said devices I am going to give an optic another try so will be acquiring an optic ready slide and using it. I also have two Hi Powers. One is traditional blued/wood grips/blade sights, but the other is a Practical model with some modernized updates. That one is at a gunsmith right now getting some further upgrades, one of which is to crown the barrel. Should I skip crowning the barrel and have him fit a threaded barrel instead…or just stick with the P226 for activities that need threaded barrels? If I have him thread the barrel, I’d also look into taller sights while its there. I just put night sights on it before sending it off but if I do go the threaded route, now is the time to update that order.
