Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

I've been there more than once. Its a very somber place. The soldiers that guard the sanctuary, are extremely dedicated.
This is not the only place that there are unknown soldiers.
When stationed at Ft Leavenworth Ks, our offices were adjacent to the national cemetary. There are rows of unknown soldiers graves dating from the war between the states.

I believe my father told me that guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a highly regarded and sought after post. That was pretty cool.

We were there about a month ago. Arlington in general for me was a somber place. I had to shush some folks that were laughing and carrying on at JFK's grave.....

I agree, the rest of DC for me was just an example that spending has been out of control for a very long time....

I went there with my dad and grandfather recently and we got to see the changing of the guard. That was one of the greatest things i have ever seen. I was honored to be able to go there and the national cemetery.
