Maybe, but who wouldn't be under these circumstances?? I tend to do the same thing when I'm upset -- I just want to withdraw from the world and be left the **** alone. I can tell you from experience that while you think you feel better when you are not doing anything or hiding out but in the long run you are only creating more problems for yourself. My advice? Make yourself get up, shower, get dressed and spend all the time you can with your kids and your wife. Don't tell them how much you care of them, SHOW them how much you care for them. Don't be shy ... hug them, kiss them, play around with them. Fake it if you have to (if you are anything like me you will feel like a fool, but like the commercial says, JUST DO IT). Next 2 weeks after that focus on incorporating friends back into your life. Take your wife and go out to dinner with friends. Go shooting. Continue to spend time with your kids. If it's seems impossible to do, then take one day a week and withdraw to whereever it is you go to think. Take a couple of hours -- three at the most -- and remember the good times you have had with those you've lost. Let your wife know what you are doing. I guarantee she is worried sick about you right now. If you are not feeling better in 30 days, then maybe you should go to the doctor. I'm not a big fan of anti-depressants. They create more problems for me than they solve, but that might not be the case with you. PM me if you want to talk. (BTW, this little exercise is not about forgetting what you've lost -- and let's face it, you have had some major losses here -- it's about remembering them fondly, reinforcing your ties with family and friends, and regaining your perspective.) I'm so sorry for your loss, and am praying for you and yours. You can get through this, it will just take a little time.
