Tractor supply has chicks

I got 6 of them yesterday.
4 Buff Orpingtons and 2 sexlinks or reds.
2 of the Buff's will be meat birds.. I kind of think I should have more meat birds.. but I never raised meat birds.

Should be easy and short lived

Which tractor supply? I've never seen buff's at ours. We ordered some a few years ago and really like them. Good hens. Need a dozen or so more

Don't eat your Buffs, get with the 4H near you. The meat bird show for my kids is next week and all the kids start with 15 Cornish birds. They only show a trio so 12 others have to get the knife. You may be able to get some on the cheap and dang near grown right now.

I would think all the 4H birds that get the knife would be spoken for.. I did get a couple show goats last year.
I do not like the taste of goat so much,, but I will eat it just the same
