I usually prefer to 'take' a doe or 2 each year. That may be more difficult this year as she seems to be hanging around my off grid cabin in the woods all the time.
I’ve lost a couple cameras not knowing how high the water could get. One was about 5’ up the trunk of the tree, filled with mud. This camera is probably 500 yards from the river, so it doesn’t bode well for the camera 40 yards from it.

Since 2019, I’ve lost 3 cell cameras to river flooding, and like yours, one was about 5 feet off the ground.I’ve lost a couple cameras not knowing how high the water could get. One was about 5’ up the trunk of the tree, filled with mud.
There is a large, but usually just a trickle, creek bisecting my 80 acres. It dumps into Deep Fork River only a couple of miles away. Multiple heavy rains I learned will make my creek a 20’ deep raging river.Since 2019, I’ve lost 3 cell cameras to river flooding, and like yours, one was about 5 feet off the ground.
She was not happyNot exactly a trail cam. I have deer in my backyard all the time. But yesterday one of those days the pics were better. I don't normally see the doe/fawns with aunts and uncles. :-) third pic- I always enjoy to see deer lay in the backyard. Lastly- in the am last night on camera a short video of one of the doe chasing a threat to her fawns.
