This camera is probably 500 yards from the river, so it doesn’t bode well for the camera 40 yards from it.

I’ve lost a couple cameras not knowing how high the water could get. One was about 5’ up the trunk of the tree, filled with mud.

Since 2019, I’ve lost 3 cell cameras to river flooding, and like yours, one was about 5 feet off the ground.
There is a large, but usually just a trickle, creek bisecting my 80 acres. It dumps into Deep Fork River only a couple of miles away. Multiple heavy rains I learned will make my creek a 20’ deep raging river.

Not exactly a trail cam. I have deer in my backyard all the time. But yesterday one of those days the pics were better. I don't normally see the doe/fawns with aunts and uncles. :-) third pic- I always enjoy to see deer lay in the backyard. Lastly- in the am last night on camera a short video of one of the doe chasing a threat to her fawns.
