Message: <blockquote data-quote="retrieverman" data-source="post: 4117876" data-attributes="member: 24452"><p>This is kind of a PSA when it comes to mounting deer.  I grew up deer hunting in east Texas in the early 80’s when deer populations were low, and “if it’s brown, it’s down“ was the general consensus of most hunters.  I didn’t see a 100” buck in the wild until I was in my mid 20’s, so the first time I killed what I thought was a big buck I got it mounted.  Then I killed bigger buck and thought that’s as good as it gets, and I got it mounted.  Fast forward to now, I have 17 shoulder mounts, and 3/4th of them should’ve been euro mounted instead of shoulder mounted.  However, euro mounts can add up too, because I have a literal pile of them and have no way to display them all. <img src="/images/smilies/anyone.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":anyone:" title="Anyone    :anyone:" data-shortname=":anyone:" /></p></blockquote><p></p>
