Yes but it is not the government’s job to do that. It is liberal politicians traumatically bonded to their “mommy issues” that “feel” they need to in order to pander to a group (lesbians/gays) that makes up around 2% of the US population. Oh … they “tyranny of the majority” … The government’s assumed responsibility here is much like “smoking bans”. I don’t like to be around cigarette smoke anymore if I don’t have to. But I don’t think the government has the right to tell restaurants, bars or even children’s daycare that the patrons in their establishment can’t smoke. The libertarian in me says “let the market decide”. It is not the government’s job. Different cultures different values. Like many have stated on this thread, people here don’t like restrooms where there is not partition or privacy wall. Would not say they are “prudish” as much as not wanting to hang their man-meat out in public. Other cultures and in particular third world cultures do not have the same privacy/modesty concerns that we have. An example of this … who here besides RidgeHunter (who will on a semi-annual basis drop a deuce in a public phone booth to mark his territory) would sit on a toilet in a public restroom if the stall did not have a door on it? Personally I don’t want to see someone crap in public any more than they want to see me crap in public.
