I think Smith and Wesson made a plastic sideplate for revolvers at one time...

Yeah they have them sitting next to all the Masada's they released back in 07.

Nothing more than Vaporware.

However their are other options. Eagle, Ramline, MSAR and Lancer make semi transparent mags for the AR series. I am thinking there is another or two as well.
