As to tri-citys finances, cant say, but they do have a land acquisition fund,into which some of the dues money goes, I think. If someone knows differently, please correct me. Also I am a life member and don't pay nuthing, which cuts into the yearly take.

How do you become a life member of the club and what does it cost?

I don't think TCGC has life membership anymore.

If you haven't shot out there with many of the TriCity members, then you really don't know the quality of the club.
It is a great place to shoot and great people to associate with.
OKCGC has some difficult people to be around on the firing line.

I haven't seen any rude shooters at TriCity.
I certainly wish I could say the same for OKC Gun Club.

I compete at both ranges on monthly basis. Never had a problem at either one.
OKCGC facilities have a LOT more to offer, and as far as rude people go - I don't know if you can sum-up 1500 people over one bad experience.

sounds like you are referring to the skeet and trap shooting place.. I am not sure of their hours.. i usually just go to the canadian outdoor range if out there, but wager if you called Canadian, he could tell you the times..

Judging an entire gun club by one experience would be poor judgment. It took several experiences over the years for me to prefer shooting at TriCity over OKC Gun Glub despite the difference in facilities.
Disturb some of the old farts at OKC by interrupting their shooting sessions by simply asking to go place targets down range and you'll know immediately what I'm talking about.

I was invited to OKCGC One time several years ago and I concur about the
"Old Farts", When after a long spell waiting, we asked very nicely if we
could set targets and the response was as best described as "Snotty".

I will stay with TCGC, Thank you very much!!!
