I took round one last week, and I can't remember the last time I got a flu shot. I just figured they guessed the flu strain wrong about half the time, and haven't had the flu in at least 10 years, so I figured why bother. This is different in my mind. It's too unpredictable; I know a lady who's 42 year old cousin in perfect health died from it, but her 80 year old mother with health problems was out of the hospital in two days. We lost a paramedic today. I don't know his health history, but he couldn't be any older than me (54). Plus, I'm worried about long term damage if I do get it, and my blood pressure doesn't help. Heck, I may have already had it and don't know. I'm not allergic to anything, got vaccinated for EVERYTHING as a kid (we all did back then) and never had any kind of reaction to vaccines. I actually READ the pamphlet they give and there's no virus in the vaccine, so it's not possible for the vaccine to give me the Rona. I'm not overly excited about the lack of any guarantee/knowledge how long the protection will last, but for me, taking it made more sense. If I start growing a third eye in the middle of my forehead, I'll let y'all know pronto.
