buy a more fuel efficent car.
99% of rcgc members live 35+ miles away.
theres a back way in that shaves 10 miles off
but you have to have somebody show the way.
take the airport exit off 244 go west till it ends at
tisdale expressway then the part someone must show you
tisdale to 36thNo, 36th to osage dr. osage to43no. 43rd to 41west
41westbecomes 52west take north to rock school road
rock school west to ranch entrance
sounds complicated but its not. I drive it 3 times aweek
shaves a easy 15-20 minutes off going thru sand springs.

Is this 15-20 minutes off of taking highway 97, which goes through downtown Sand Springs, or taking highway 97T, which bypasses Sand Springs?

I suppose I'll have to try this way sometime and see if it's faster.

This.
I'm new to Tulsa and the only range that I've been to is Tulsa Firearms. Bought a one year membership there and it still costs my wife and I over $100 for one lane and one box of rounds. I'll probably never go back and I'm sure my membership was a waste of money. So where does one go around here to practice draw and shoot, or what ranges are decent around here without raping you every time you walk in the door?

Go to USSA, they have a day pass option for non-members that is $20. Bring your own ammo and targets and you'll be set. If you don't have targets, you can purchase some from the club house.

I like the fact that I can go outside in my back yard and shoot anytime I want
to. We invite friends and family to come over and have cookout and shooting.
I never have been to a range but think I may go check one out around Tulsa

Just joined. The folks seem helpful, though the range fee is a bit steep. 2 range fees if you want to shoot rifle and pistol? Ouch. If I go 2-3 times per month alone, I could have paid for a basic at USSA. Will keep this for convenience to drop in a rip off some rounds, but will probably move to USSA.

I belonged to the Tulsa gun club for several years and did like it but I wanted something less restrictive so I joined Red Castle and have not regretted it. If you are retired like me you can practically have the whole place to yourself on week days and I like it being open 364 days a year from 7am till dark.
