We had a flock in Edmond that was causing accidents on Western between Edmond road and danforth. The ODWC came out and cannon netted them. They tagged all of them before relocation. These birds were pretty tame. They would stroll through the neighborhood waiting for people to feed them. One day I was sitting on the couch and heard a knock at the door. It was a turkey pecking at the glass for food. Maybe they were relocated?

Domesticated turkeys do not fly well.
I'm not sure the wild turkeys around my place can fly very well, either. My property is heavily wooded, and one evening several years ago some turkeys roosted in the trees near my house. As I walked around, I startled some of them, which led to a very comical sounding "flap, flap, flap, THUMP, flap, flap, THUMP, flap, flap, THUMP" as they tried to fly, bouncing off the trunks of the very large oaks in the process...
