My youngest son got into a fight at school (another, able-bodied kid was trying to throw a disabled kid down the stairs and my son intervened). The principal was gonna suspend him for "fighting" and have the police come and take an assault report because, and I quote "it doesn't matter who started it or why. He should have walked away." I made three phone calls ... one to the kid's parents who was trying to throw the kid down the stairs; one to the parents of the kid who was about to get thrown and one to an attorney I knew who had done some work for the school board. Bottom line was my son didn't get suspended but I had to burn 3 days of vacation time taking care of a mess that should never had been in the first place.I am so glad I do not have little ones now ...</blockquote>
