It wont be too long and techknowledgy will make the Aircraft Carrier, as we know it, Obsolete. Kinda like how aircraft made Battleships obsolete.

Except they did not really make battleships obsolete, they just changed their roles. Instead of being the primary force in a naval battle, they became large and capable escorts and still one of the best shore bombardment type ships ever. Heck to this day the big gun is far more cost effective. This is kind of like when the navy decided the gun was obsolete and tried building cruisers with missile only armament. They had to go back and add guns.

It doesnt take too many exocet missles or something newer to make any ship obsolete. Floating targets are sitting ducks in todays world.

Interesting - "Comparing military expenditures to a nation's GDP presents a different picture. North Korea, for example, spends an amazing 33.9% of its GDP on their military. Some of the top spenders are listed below. The United States comes in 46th on this list at 3.2%."

And you're comparing 40 billion GDP (N. Korea) to 15 trillion GDP (US). Huge difference. That's 480 billion (US) vs 660 million (N. Korea) spent on military budgets. Not even a race there.
